Filasez is a forward-looking, independent educational initiative (kindergarten and primary level) in Winterthur, Switzerland.
At Filasez, children begin from the very start to shape their life’s work. “Filasez” (Romansh for “self-runner” or “one who runs by oneself”)
refers to the child’s inner capacity to develop and grow independently, supported by trust and accompanied by adults and the surrounding social community.
The world itself is the learning material at Filasez, with the Swiss Curriculum 21 serving as the educational foundation.
Because an educational path can only be truly holistic, we are expanding beyond the core project of the school itself:
we are building a public workshop open to all children, offering parent education, and sharing our knowledge
through a learning facilitator training program currently in development. We work primarily with Free and Open Source Software (FOSS).
The future of society begins in the education of its children.
